Parafernalia

New wave/indie rock band formed and lead by Mel Dawkins. The current line-up is Richard Venn (guitar), Dan Clark (guitar), Sheila Stocking (drum kit) Mel Dawkins (bass/vocals).

We recorded our first album, Weekend Anachist in 2009 which is featured on our myspace page and available to order now. We are working on new material which we plan to record in the coming months and will keep you updated on our progress.

Parafernalia perform regularly in and around London at venues such as The Cavendish Arms, Klinker club, The Cross Kings, The Montague Arms, Dusk til Dawn, Up All Night and The Rhythm Factory.

The Art Of Resistance

Experimental Women's Vocal and Drumming Project.

The songs are based on lyrics and rhythms I have written and improvisation/creative input from all participants.

Art of Resistance have performed at venues such as the Brixton Art Gallery and The International Women's Day Festival in South London.

Djembe - African Drumming
